Mint Toy Museum

Attended a Body Shop press event ystday at the most interesting venue.
I didn't even know Singapore has a vintage toy museum.
It's really idyllic and child-like, and I love it!
It's all toys from our childhood and beyond...from the ages when toys were hand-made, non-techie and reflected the ways of people's lives.
There were all those dolls, toy cars of every sort, toys that acted as war propaganda, original limited edition stuff, Tin Tin memorabilia (!!!), Beatles vintage stuff etc etc.
4 floors of exciting childhood stuff + a cool and cosy underground cafe.
Why is it I never knew this place existed?
Why is it I never knew this place existed?
This plc really harked back to a different era.
The curator was right when he said...
Toys back then were made in various countries and their differences were very distinct.
Germany and Japan produced a lot... and you can really tell the difference.
Now, everything is simply stamped 'Made in China'.
I loved the Tin Tin posters and artworks so much i wanted to buy some home.
It really is pretty cool.
Me and my brothers devoured so many Tin Tin comics when we were younger.
It really brought back happy times.
Drop by if u can.
It's a lovely lil' known place tucked away at Seah Street, just opp Raffles Hotel.
