Jimmy Liao

I love the Taiwanese illustrator Jimmy Liao.

Couple weeks back, i chanced upon his snowflakes glasses at Takashimaya, and was so tempted to get it ($88).

There's something in his art that goes to the core of us, isn't it?

Created from the perspective of a blind girl, there's always a whimsical, light touch to sombre thoughts.

Of course, one of his famous works was turned into that 'Turn Left, Turn Right' film starring Gigi Leung and that Takeshi hearthrob.
When i was last in Taipei, his works were available at their major bookstores.

It's so tough to find it in Singapore, and even Ebay doesn't offer much help.

I have to add - his are probably the only Chinese books i own!

I buy it just for the illustrations.

My dream is to get a huge artwork of his and hang it in the living room of my home.

So... i guess, at some point, i'll have to return to Taipei!

On another note, sheer effortless perfection from Sienna Miller.

She looks like she just threw on a pair of slacks and a tatty tank top...and is ready for her red carpet photocall.
