its August

July passed in a whiz.
Good month, lots of idle non-working weekends,
Of which i alredi miss.

Back on the night watch tis month.
Or rather, 6wks.
Ah, i'd been anticipating it anyway.
Fuck.
Life, go easy on me.

Been a great day.
Went for all my grooming nonsense, ate junk food, watched MTV,
read a mag, went grocery shopping, lazing abt the house... shiok.
It will prob be a while b4 such a day rolls ard again.

Whats been up?
A best galpal is tying the knot. And having a baby!
That's wat we call a double whammy of sheer joy. And the Lord's blessings.

I have started saving finally.
$100 to start with.
Its hard enuf, so don't tell me its peanuts.
Its my first SERIOUS attempt in 24 years, so one giant leap there.

Irony i've recently discovered: i miss writing.
I no longer write.
I do a lot of editorial coordination and quick summaries and tech how-to at Reuters.
Tis ain't writing.
Most of the time, i am coordinating between text editors, my own pictures editors, the photographers, overseas bureaus and international press clients. Its challenging and really gives u a buzz of what its like to work in a major, international, real-time news wire, but i don't get a chance to really write.

Anyway, its just a job.
Lets not go into tis, lest i get funny ideas again.
