Xmas 2009

Had a nice leisurely long Xmas weekend.
Started on Xmas Eve, with the much-awaited wedding of a longtime pal.
It was beautiful and really enjoyable.
Had an extended tea and chat fest with Mich after that at TCC, and it felt nice.
It's been a long while since it's just the 2 of us --usually there's loads other people, or at least Marco!

Xmas day was spent quietly at the beach.
Brought marco to see his beloved Underwater World, and then headed to the sands.
Nice and quiet time.
By the time it got scorching about 12, we were just about heading out for lunch.

Saturday, Boxing day.
Mich & Von came over for a nice long roast lunch.
PLayed with Marco, who decided that day that he shall be as defiant as he possibly can.
So they got to see the worst side of him!
At nite, left him at my Mum's and headed for some retail therapy with Mich & Von.
As it turns out (usually), i didn't get anything and spent all of $6 on dinner.
Thrifty me!

Today - didn't wanna do anything.
Completed my scrapbook pages and then finally headed to Paragon for dinner.
Wanted to bring marco to see the Xmas lights before they're gone.
He loved it, and kept calling it "soap", and then laughing at himself, like it's some kinda secret joke. Hilarious, that boy.
Cabbed home, and he dozed off as the driver navigated Bukit Timah Road at like, probably 200km/h. I prayed for our survival and thankfully, God listened.

So there, my 2009 Xmas weekend.
Lovely, quiet, no dramas.

Retail Therapy Thursday

Am really into classic dresses now.
I feel, as i grow older, i am now almost at that phase where i desire clothes of better quality, more classic lines/shapes, functional + comfy and convey the message that i'm a woman, not a girl.

Am going thru a wardrobe overhaul, where all the frilly things of my younger self just doesn't appeal.
I don't wanna look like a teenager, or bump into any teenager wearing the same things!

Had a divine shopping spree today, blew like almost 1k.
Retail therapy -- who coined this? Such a genius.
Got a gorgeous dress, crystal earrings, 3 pairs of shoes, a restorative facial + Xmas gifts.
Was one of those days i wish will go on forever!

Plus -- spotted the ultimate bag.
I may die happy if i have the Chloe Paraty Xmas Edition bag.

Life is one huge confusing mirage....
When will clarity & honesty arrive?
