Maid-Free

I have decided to go maid-less.
I have decided that I want a maid-free home.
And lest anyone still dun geddit, I DO NOT WANT A MAID IN MY HOUSE!

I am sorry that I dislike them so much.
It's really weird coming from me, as I don't recall a time in my before-married life where I didn't have one hovering around at home.
Living with my parents, we must have went through at least 10 different ones over 20 odd years.
But. I still dislike them.
It is evil but they are simply another species altogether and at the end of the day, never good enough.
I cannot get along with them, don't understand them much and mostly, have zero patience for dealing with them.
It's such a screwed concept anyway - hiring help for menial household chores for a house not more than 1000 sq feet and when we are hardly millionaires.

But that's what Singaporeans do.
Can't deal with doing the dirty work ourselves, not even in our home, which is pathetic.
Half of every HDB flat has a maid living inside. Bizarre.
It's acceptable if your house is huge (like landed) and is impossible to handle/clean 5 bedrooms, 5 loos, a garden, a backyard etc etc.
Or if you are busy and have 3 kids to tend to etc etc.
But i am neither.

So i have decided to be self-sufficient, hire part-time help from time to time and have the privacy of my home to myself once more.
Besides, Marco won't learn how to demand + command before he learns to pick up after himself.
He is almost 2 anyway, things should get more manageable.

FINALLY, I AM MAID-FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
