marco morphing

I thought i'll never live to see this....
Never pull it off.
Never ought to have this experience.
But my son is developing!
Almost a month in, he has reported distinct differences from when he's born.
For instance, his eyes are wide open when he's awake now.
Instd of tottering between slumber and being awake.
His eyes are big, alert and pristine-clear.
And here's the best part - he can focus!
Yes, when u put an object (like a colourful toy) in front of him, he can actually focus and look at it. And smile at it.
Incredible! Tat's a milestone really.
Previously, he wouldn't notice even if T-Rex were in front of him.
And he always looks intently at people and things.
It can be a face, the wall, the door or a toy.
He looks like he's registering his first thoughts.

Now...i just wish he'll get to know the difference b/w nite & day.
That would be a major leap!

Wanderlust

In my dreams....

I'd like to:

- stay a couple months in Paris, on my own or with Terence

- shop in London

- have a no-expenses-spared trip to Europe, primarily Italy, Spain, UK, Czech Republic and France.

- enjoy a villa stay in Bali

- attend a makeup course and really understand my visage

- bum around a few weeks with old pals in Melbourne

- go for a long run with the guys
- go kayaking for one afternoon, like we used to

- treat Terence & myself to a couple spa session

- enjoy a hot choc & a good book on a nothing afternoon like i used to in Brisbane

- take photos that inspire myself

- makeover my wardrobe

shopping misc.

Cannot believe my good buy today.
From, of all places, Charles & Keith.
Yea!
I bagged a fab bag that looks so much like a Furla one.
For all of...i dunno, $40?
And a fab pair of grey patents too!
Amazing.
I shld stop shunning local mass production...there are great finds in every corner.
It was a nice (and wallet-friendly) mini solo shopping trip today.

Shopping List:
- Bag from River Island
- Photo album for Marco
- Baby blue box
- Shoes from Far East Plaza
- Shiseido moisturiser
- Concealer from MAC
- Hugo Boss watch for Terence
- Stella McCartney perfume
- Body Shop mascara
- Diamond earrings

time

The sheer boredom at home drove me to do some diggin' around...
I took out my old diary (which i'd faithfully kept, thank goodness!) last nite.
And my, what a memory trip it was.
I kept the same diary from 2004-2006, and what a flood of scenes!

From the day i returned from Oz, started work, changed jobs, was single and bored, to the new colleagues & frens, to re-establishing my Singaporean life, to the crushes & episodes at Reuters, to meeting Terence.... and how our r/s evolved from there.

It was really really nice reading all that.
It seemed a lifetime away.
What i could not believe was.... Terence mentioned marriage 1 month into our relationship.
That was fast.
And how i decided to give up the stressful shiftwork after we got married.
And how he proposed.
And how i prepared for all these, fashion-wise.
I think i bought a new outfit for every date we had, given the relatively short time we were dating (7months) before we got engaged.
And all the old crap we argued about and how utterly sweet & serious he was.

Now, we're actually parents!
It's just too fast.
This Thursday will be our 2 1/2 year anniversary.
In this time, we have got together, made each other v happy, got married, bought a flat, threw a wedding, survived a horrid pregnancy + had a baby!
It is only possible becos our love and commitment to each other were so strong and rock-solid.
I've never had that kinda security & certainty in any r/s before.
Where you can throw anything at us, and we'll still take it.

He's my rock.
I feel v loved, v blessed and extremely lucky.
