It's easy to get carried away with the planning, $$ and trying our best to make a lasting good impression for all our guests without the threat of bankrupcy.

We're taking such amazing steps for a young couple.
Our house will be ready next month!

Can you believe it?
I am outta here in a month.
How to live without my maid? Without fresh laundry, ready-made beds, hot meals and clean, nice-smelling toilets 24/7?
Do you have any idea at all how much electronics + furniture cost?
I don't know how furnished the house will be at the point of moving in.
The wedding is bleeding us high and dry...
So perhaps the sofa may gotta wait, as will the computer etc.

Me and Terence quarrel a lot over all of these.
Endlessly, everyday.
People think we're living in such domestic bliss, planning our nuptials and house.
If they only knew.

At theback of my mind, i know how hard he tries to give me everything I want.
The house, the gowns, the wardrobe etc etc....
It's so taxing on him, and sometimes, I wish things were easier.
But sometimes, the smallest moments change everything.
Here is a man willing to go to so much lengths to keep me happy.
To give me the things he himself haven't even dreamt of.
Knowing and having him have changed my life so much.

We're already married.
The banquet is but a formality.
But it does bring things out to the world.
It's making an announcement.
Sharing our love, joy and pride for each other.
Telling everyone who our spouse is.

Bless my special day, Lord.

Looking absolutely overjoyed with gaggle of girlfrens laughing their butts off, Achieved.

Party central @ MOS.
ladies really have it easy.
we got like 3-4 rounds of free shots (for all 10 of us!) just by telling others it's a hen's nite out!

The calm before the storm @ BakerzInn, Millenia Walk
Everyone's hair in place, looking prim and decent.

tis are my frens

We all met when we were gangly runners at 13.
Now, we are seeing one another getting married.
Friendship is really enduring, and beautiful.
I'm proud to say - hey, these are the babes I grew up with.
From left: Melissa Ong Mae, Pamela Tan, Jasmine Lin, (seated) Choo Qiuli, Maggie Ang

a mad mad month

So, i am taking a break from wedding planning to blog.

When my fren got married last year,
I was her bridesmaid.
Even as I helped her with some small aspects of the wedding,
I had no clue what a huge messy task a wedding can be.

Sigh.
I have 6 tables for friends and colleagues, trimmed down quite a lot.
Now, it's really just people who really matter.
No ex-bosses or "obligatory" guests.
Which is kinda nice actually.

Work is piling up fast.
I took a day off from work to settle the guest list and invitations.
When i have like 3-4 articles waiting to be written and/or edited.
There should be brides' leave!

My bridesmaids gathering at my place.
24 October 2006.

Lovely time.
Everyone seems to reallly love my collection of bridal magazines. '
And I have to say they were pretty darn good at coming up with evil games for the groomsmen!
Can expect loads of groans and laughter tat day.

Terence working in Bangkok.
Yea, i posted this very late.
Couldn't get around to uploading pix until today.
But BKK was fun.
I haven't even finished wearing the new threads i bought.

Furniture-hunting.... all over the island.
A post-negotiation, bloody-tired face, resting on the 67th L-shaped sofa we've seen.
